All the TV That’s Fit to Stream
Welcome back to streaming variability, a newsletter all about tv and what’s worth watching written by some random idiot on the internet!
Quick Thoughts
Late again, apologies, here at The Variable, we were busy mentally preparing for the NBA Finals, which wrapped last night. As a fan of basketball, having these two teams in the finals was amazing. Those saying this was a boring finals, don’t actually like basketball, they like gymnastics or acrobatics. With Denver and Miami, we got two teams that play basketball with heart, grit, and skill, both with a leader who are among the best when it comes to all those things as well as having the mentality of a killer and a champion. As a Bulls fan, I’m a bit sad Jimmy Butler wasn’t able to get a ring, but it was still an excellent playoffs and finals this year.
No season finales on The Schedule this week, although if you’ve stuck with City on Fire or Spy/Master, you’ll see those wrap this week.
A few big premiers this week, including two that won’t be covered here: Walking Dead and 1883, both hitting the airwaves on Sunday, June 18th. Let me know if you think those are worthy, but as of now they aren’t making the cut. You’ve been warned. So let’s dive in…
New Stuff
Black Mirror S6 (Netflix) — June 14
Long awaited return with a giant cast. I’ve tried to avoid the trailer myself as I’m excited to go in blind, but I’ve seen glimpses showing off the stellar cast. Really hoping for a return to form this season, plus with all the AI, AR/VR stuff happening right now, it feels like there couldn’t be a better moment to face off with some of the technological dangers we too often overlook. Just five episodes this season so savor them.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds S2 (Paramount) — June 15
I’m soooo far behind on Trek, but I still feel like it should be included in The Schedule. So here we are. If you are keeping up, let me know how you’ve been enjoying and if it’s worth it to dedicate some time to catch up.
The Righteous Gemstones S3 (Max) — June 18
And the main event! One of the funniest things on TV and by far my favorite Danny McBride show; although Kenny Powers probably deserves a rewatch soon. First two episodes drop on Sunday.

That’s it. No lastly this week because I’m so far behind on everything with my wife just getting back from Chicago on Sunday. I vow to catch up and bring some opinions next week if you’ll have them.
As always, stay sane.
