If this is working as intended, you should not be reading this in your inbox. Iām trying to avoid signing people up for things they didnāt ask for. If this did end up in your inbox, you have my sincerest apologies (but itās probably Substackās faultā¦)
Either way, if youād like to start getting these every Friday or if this unintentionally ended up in your inbox already, you can flip the switch for sonic vibrations by clicking the below button.
The goal with sonic vibrations is to go through all the new music releases every week and tell you which are worth checking out. The focus will typically be on alternative, rock, pop, and other indie related tunes, but other genres such as rap and hip-hop will occasionally make the cut. With that being saidā¦
On to this weeks releases:
š¦£ Big Releases
These are the big releases from more well known bands that I at least have a little bit of familiarity with and that are probably already on your radar.
š½ Chris Black Changed My Life ā Portugal. The Man
Managed to listen through this one already. I donāt think there will be any crazy pop hits like Feel It Still, but this was still a pretty great listen front to back. Stand out tracks for me are: Dummy, Doubt, and Plastic Island.
š½ Melodies on Hiatus ā Albert Hammond Jr.
The second half of Hammondās new solo album is out now. I enjoyed the first half last month, although Iām not sure it hits the highs of his previous effort, but Iām still excited to dig in.
š¦ Smaller Releases
These are the releases that I thought were worth checking out as I rapidly went through and briefly sampled all of the New Releases for the week. No guarantee they are great.
š½ Life Under The Gun ā Militarie Gun
š½ BAD SON ā Curtis Waters
š½ Chaos County Line ā Skating Polly
š½ 3D Country ā Geese
š½ supernatural thing ā M. Ward
š½ Cult Classic ā Daisy Grenade
š½ Peace Loving People āĀ Pardoner
The End
Thatās it for vol.001 of sonic vibrations. Iām hoping to do a little more moving forward, but the goal with all of our newsletters is to always be as concise as possible, sorting through all the mud to pull out the tiny bits of gold actually worth checking out.
As always, stay sane,
